- Item 0000: Pilgrimage to Altus, 1976 October 30

To celebrate the beginning of the centennial era, on October 30, 1976, two buses carried some 100 members of the Hendrix community on a "pilgrimage to Altus" which culminated with a ceremony on top of the hill where Isham Burrow had opened his school exactly 100 years earlier. A brief talk by Sadler Hiram Burrow of Ozark, the only living grandchild of the founder, and a speech by former Hendrix president Matt L. Ellis highlighted the excursion.
